Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Staff Nurse - Day Care Oncology to our Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Candidate must have a valid SACT Passport

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive admission assessments screening toxicity grading and escalation of patients receiving SACT.

  • Plan and coordinate patient treatments in advance ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place before arrival.

  • Safely prepare handle administer and monitor SACT and other medications in accordance with established protocols.

  • Provide specialist oncology care including CVC management Cool Cap therapy wound care IV cannulation and fluid balance monitoring.

  • Monitor patients for pain adverse reactions and deterioration using appropriate escalation procedures and providing timely intervention.

  • Deliver patient-centred supportive care and education regarding SACT treatment potential side effects discharge requirements and follow-up care.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation nursing care plans treatment records and telephone communication records.

  • Collaborate effectively with consultants the multidisciplinary team Clinical Nurse Managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

  • Maintain high standards of professional practice confidentiality infection prevention and control medication safety and compliance with NMBI and hospital policies.

  • Support the education and development of colleagues and students through supervision training teaching audits accreditation activities and continuous professional development.


Requirements
  • Registered on the General Division of the NMBI Register of Nurses.

  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.

  • Candidate must have a valid SACT Passport

  • Demonstrated interest in procedural nursing with a willingness to develop new clinical skills.

  • Proven clinical competence and professional ability.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.

  • Good IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Fluency in English is essential for the role.

  • A relevant nursing speciality qualification and experience in the specialised area are desirable.

  • Ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a high level of responsibility and initiative.

  • Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management processes including investigation and reporting is desirable.
