Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Staff Nurse - Cardiology in our hospital in Limerick Ireland.

  • Job Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)
    Contract: Permanent Responsibilities
  • Provide safe hands-on patient-centred nursing care to patients undergoing interventional cardiology procedures ensuring their safety comfort and dignity throughout their care.

  • Prepare patients for procedures by completing pre-procedure assessments explaining the planned treatment addressing concerns and ensuring patients are appropriately informed and supported.

  • Monitor patients before during and after procedures including vital signs and clinical status promptly identifying and escalating any changes or complications to the CNM or Consultant.

  • Assist with the preparation and management of the catheterisation laboratory equipment and supplies ensuring appropriate sterilisation infection prevention and readiness for procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote effective communication coordinated care and positive patient outcomes and experiences.

  • Maintain accountability for own clinical practice in accordance with NMBI standards continuously developing professional knowledge competence and scope of practice.

  • Maintain awareness of and comply with relevant national professional and local quality and safety standards including HIQA and JCI requirements while supporting continuous quality improvement.




Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible for registration in the General Nurse Division of the NMBI Register.

  • Have 12 years of clinical nursing experience preferably within cardiology or an acute care setting.

  • Previous experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) or interventional cardiology is desirable.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of current practices developments and best standards in interventional cardiology nursing.

  • Experience in monitoring and managing patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures is desirable.

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide safe effective and patient-centred care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Previous experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is desirable.
