Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Grade Cardiac Physiologist to join a hospital in Dublin Ireland.

This is a permanent full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures including ECGs Holter monitoring exercise stress testing and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
  • Assist with and independently undertake cardiac catheterisation laboratory procedures as appropriate.
  • Support coronary angiography angioplasty (PCI) electrophysiology studies and device implantation procedures.
  • Carry out pacemaker and implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) follow-up assessments and device checks.
  • Assist in the performance of echocardiography examinations and other cardiac imaging procedures where required.
  • Monitor patients during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  • Accurately analyse interpret and document physiological data and test results.
  • Maintain patient records and prepare reports in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated maintained and calibrated in line with manufacturer and hospital guidelines.
  • Adhere to infection prevention health and safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Participate in service development clinical audit research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding cardiac investigations and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with cardiologists nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in on-call weekend and shift rotas as required by the service.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and maintain competency in all areas of practice.


Requirements
  • Hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement Science a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Specialisation or major in Cardiology is essential.

Required Skills:
