Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals nursing homes home care and community care settings.

We are currently hiring Sonographer for a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal pelvic obstetric vascular musculoskeletal and small parts imaging as required.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and obtaining relevant clinical history.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Analyse and evaluate ultrasound images identifying normal and abnormal findings for radiologist review.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records reports and imaging documentation.
  • Ensure patient comfort dignity privacy and safety throughout all examinations.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control policies radiation safety (where applicable) and departmental protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists consultants nurses and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prioritise workload effectively including urgent and emergency cases.
  • Maintain and perform routine quality assurance checks on ultrasound equipment and report any faults.
  • Participate in departmental audits quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to students newly qualified sonographers and junior staff where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Hold a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent) and be registered with CORU.
  • Possess a recognised postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Radiography including at least 3 years of post-graduate Ultrasound experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently in Ultrasound and other Radiology modalities with experience in Vascular Ultrasound; MSK Ultrasound and training in MRI CT or PET are desirable.
  • Have experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of Radiographers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication interpersonal organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and engage with staff and management at all levels.
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) quality improvement initiatives in Ultrasound services and a high level of responsibility and initiative.

Required Skills:
