Job Summary

Social Care Worker

We are seeking a compassionate experienced and highly organised Social Care Worker to support the delivery of high-quality care and support within our service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all care provided is person-centred safe and effective and delivered in accordance with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and support the provision of person-centred care in line with best practice and organisational policies.

  • Ensure all care practices meet regulatory requirements and professional standards.

  • Support the implementation of safeguarding procedures health and safety policies and quality assurance measures.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to maintain a safe supportive and respectful environment for service users.

  • Promote the wellbeing independence and dignity of individuals receiving care.

  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of care services.

Requirements
  • QQI Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care Social Work Psychology Nursing or a related discipline (or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in a social care or health and social care setting.

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a care environment is desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards safeguarding policies and health and safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills.

  • A professional empathetic and person-centred approach to care.

  • Full clean manual drivers licence (essential).

  • Must hold Stamp 4 permission to work in Ireland.

Required Skills:

Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related degree. CORU registration is mandatory. Full clean manual drivers license required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for supporting individuals in a community-based setting


Required Education:

Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care Studies (or equivalent)At least 1 years experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities or vulnerable adultsStrong teamwork communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of HIQA regulations and person-centred planningFull clean drivers license (vehicle provided for resident transport)Flexibility for evenings nights weekends and 24-hour shifts
