Job Summary
We are seeking a Social Care Worker who is passionate motivated and eager to contribute to a meaningful long-term project. You will work within a small supportive team providing high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.
Location: Newtownmountkennedy Co. Wicklow
Hours: 39h/week (MondayFriday 8:3016:30)
Contract: Permanent Full Time.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
The Door Talent is supporting a centre created by families who wanted to build a meaningful supportive space for young adults (1823) with severe to profound intellectual just two years the project has grown rapidly supported by the HSE with a strong ethos of learning development and personcentred care. This is a unique opportunity to join a project with real purpose and grow professionally as the organisation continues to expand.
The Role
We are seeking a Social Care Worker who is passionate motivated and eager to contribute to a meaningful long-term project. You will work within a small supportive team providing high-quality care and educational support to young adults with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and two-to-one support within shared rooms (staff never work alone)
- Deliver education-focused morning activities and in-house programmes (80% of activities are centre-based)
- Promote learning development and engagement through structured daily routines
- Work collaboratively within a small team to maintain a positive supportive environment
- Contribute ideas show initiative and engage in continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
- CORE registration
- Social Care Worker Qualification.
- Full driving licence
- Strong English communication and writing skills
- 23 years of experience in Social Care or a related field
- Open to learning Motivated and proactive Vocation-driven Creative and willing to bring new ideas Comfortable seeking mentoring and professional growth
- Ideally living in Wicklow or nearby areas
