We are Hiring a Social Care Lead to lead a Nursing care home in Cork Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Plan coordinate and deliver engaging person-centred activity programmes that enhance residents wellbeing independence dignity and quality of life.
- Assess each residents individual interests abilities preferences and social needs to develop meaningful recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Prepare and communicate monthly activity schedules encouraging maximum resident participation while respecting personal choice and independence.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of activities and contribute to residents care plan reviews as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Build positive respectful relationships with residents promoting inclusion emotional wellbeing and a supportive person-centred environment.
- Develop strong partnerships with local community organisations recruit and support volunteers and coordinate their induction training and supervision.
- Maintain accurate activity records documentation and reports while managing activity budgets and resources efficiently.
- Ensure all activities comply with HIQA standards infection prevention and control procedures safeguarding requirements and health and safety regulations.
- Uphold organisational policies confidentiality professional standards and the highest levels of hygiene safety and resident care.
- Use information technology effectively for activity planning documentation communication and administrative support while contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives and regulatory inspections.
Requirements
- Degree in Social Care or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working with older adults is desirable.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate person-centred approach to resident care and wellbeing.
- Ability to plan coordinate and deliver engaging social and recreational activities.
- Strong documentation and administrative skills.
