Job Summary

We are hiring qualified people for the permanent position of Senior Ultrasonographer/Radiographer to our Hospital in Tralee.
- Perform high-quality ultrasound and radiographic examinations in line with hospital protocols and professional standards.
- Ensure accurate imaging procedures to support diagnosis and patient treatment plans.
- Maintain patient safety dignity and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and radiography equipment effectively and safely.
- Review patient histories and clinical information prior to examinations.
- Work collaboratively with consultants radiologists nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and infection prevention policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records reports and imaging documentation.
- Supervise support and mentor junior radiography staff and students when required.
- Participate in quality assurance programmes audits and continuous professional development activities.
- Assist in implementing departmental policies procedures and service improvements.
- Provide excellent patient care and communication at all times.
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
- CORU registration essential
- Experience across multiple imaging modalities would be beneficial but not essential
- Ultrasound experience required
- Excellent IT skills are essential
- Participation in out-of-hours on-call service required
- Proven customer service skills and/or relevant qualifications
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
