Job Summary

We are hiring qualified people for the permanent position of Senior Radiographer to our Hospital in Tralee.
- Perform high-quality ultrasound and radiographic examinations in line with hospital protocols and professional standards.
- Ensure accurate imaging procedures to support diagnosis and patient treatment plans.
- Maintain patient safety dignity and comfort throughout all procedures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and radiography equipment effectively and safely.
- Review patient histories and clinical information prior to examinations.
- Work collaboratively with consultants radiologists nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and infection prevention policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records reports and imaging documentation.
- Supervise support and mentor junior radiography staff and students when required.
- Participate in quality assurance programmes audits and continuous professional development activities.
- Assist in implementing departmental policies procedures and service improvements.
- Provide excellent patient care and communication always.
BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Current CORU registration is essential.
Proven experience across multiple imaging modalities with mandatory experience in MRI and CT.
Excellent IT skills and proficiency in relevant clinical systems.
Previous experience in PACS administration is desirable.
Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours on-call service.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer and patient-focused care.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a busy clinical environment.
