Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be a key member of the project delivery team taking ownership of commercial management and project finances while supporting project leadership and mentoring junior staff.

• Degree in Construction Economics Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 45 years experience at Senior QS level.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Chartered MSCSI/MRICS or working towards chartership.
• Strong commercial organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS/commercial software.

• Manage risk value engineering cost control and commercial performance across assigned projects.
• Support procurement strategy tendering and subcontractor appointments including preparation of tender documentation and analysis of returns.
• Manage subcontract packages including interim payments claims final accounts and retention.
• Support main contract administration including valuations final accounts variations claims and change management.
• Identify and manage variations in line with contractual requirements and notification procedures.
• Support monthly cost reporting CVRs cash flow preliminaries and materials updates.
• Assess and quantify the impact of delay and disruption.
• Identify analyse and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior and project-level Quantity Surveyors.
