Job Summary
Job Description:
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Procuring subcontractors overseeing their work packages and finalizing subcontractor accounts.
- Compiling labour and equipment allocation sheets for on-site tasks.
- Reviewing construction drawings for any changes from the tendered versions.
- Negotiating and finalising variations and claims with the client.
- Preparing and submitting interim payment applications to the client.
- Visiting site at least 2 days per week depending on the job size.
- Pursuing outstanding payments from clients.
- Conducting take-offs for structural steel decking and cladding from drawings.
- Compiling submitting and finalizing accounts with the client.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in projects involving structural steelwork or similar constructions (General construction knowledge is acceptable).
- Ability to collaborate within a team take initiative and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the Irish steelwork market is advantageous but not compulsory.
- Proficiency in software such as Excel Word Outlook and project management tools.
- Strong negotiation skills particularly in the context of agreeing on project variations and final accounts.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational abilities.
