You will serve as the primary operational and technical contact for Defined Benefit pension administration in this role. Support clients Trustees members and internal teams through clear communication structured problem solving and consistent delivery. You will:
- Serve as a key operational contact for clients and Trustees on DB administration matters helping to interpret issues agree solutions and ensure timely accurate delivery of services.
- Engage directly with Scheme Administrators Consultants clients and members ensuring service excellence and consistently applying Aons Client First approach to operations.
- Proactively identify investigate and explain benefit data or process-related queries to support informed client decision making.
- Provide clear summaries recommendations and practical solutions to support clients Trustees and internal stakeholders and offer guidance to members to help them understand their benefits and options.
- Apply a rigorous approach to checking validation and quality control across client-related deliverables.
- Draft and review client-facing communications (member letters newsletters FAQs) to present complex information in a clear and engaging way.
- Provide input to client and Trustee meeting packs updating partners on member experience operational performance and process enhancements.
- Contribute to streamlining and standardising processes clearly articulating the client benefits of any proposed changes and finding opportunities to improve operational consistency quality and client experience.
- Support and mentor junior team members and new colleagues fostering professional development consistency of approach and knowledge sharing across the Wealth business.
- Work collaboratively across multiple teams including Scheme Administration Consultants Global Centres of Capability (GCCs) clients and external providers taking ownership of client-related deliverables while supporting wider team priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Aon Irelands Defined Benefit team in a visible client-facing role that combines technical pension expertise operational delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will work directly with clients and Trustees influence service delivery support process improvements and help drive high quality outcomes for members and scheme partners. You will partner with Scheme Administrators Consultants and GCC colleagues. You will receive support from a wider Wealth team passionate about quality integrity continuous improvement and client outcomes. The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening Aons trusted partnership with Defined Benefit pension scheme clients across Ireland.
- Excellent understanding of Defined Benefit pensions including scheme benefits and administration with previous experience in DB pension scheme administration or a closely related DB pension operations role (experience with Public Sector model schemes is preferable).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences and to draft engaging client and member communications.
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and a thorough way of reviewing and validating work. Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured organized way.
- Proven track record to build strong working relationships with colleagues clients Trustees and third-party providers acting as a trusted operational and technical contact.
- Proven track record of driving greater efficiency in processes suggesting and implementing improvements where appropriate and communicating the client impact supported by strong IT skills (including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint).
