Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals nursing homes home care and community care services.

We are currently hiring a Registered General Nurse Endoscopy Day Ward (Pre & Post-Operative Procedure Care) for a leading hospital in limerick Ireland.


Position: Registered General Nurse Endoscopy Day Ward
Job Type: Permanent Full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide safe and effective pre- and post-procedure nursing care to patients within the Endoscopy Suite from admission through to discharge.

  • Promote a patient-centred approach to care working collaboratively with relevant healthcare services and agencies.

  • Prepare and support patients for procedures ensuring they are fully informed and addressing any questions or concerns.

  • Adhere to and demonstrate best practice in infection prevention and control at all times.

  • Communicate and liaise with CNMs and Consultants regarding any clinical concerns or complications.

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and overall patient experience.

  • Take professional responsibility for clinical practice maintaining and enhancing knowledge competence and scope of practice in line with NMBI guidelines.

  • Maintain awareness of national and local quality standards and regulatory requirements including JCI and HIQA relevant to nursing service delivery.






  • Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible for registration in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

  • Have 12 years of clinical nursing experience preferably within an acute care setting.

  • Possess 12 years experience in a Recovery Unit or Suite (clearly outlined on the CV).

  • Demonstrate proven competency in IV cannulation and venepuncture.

  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is desirable.
