RTÉ Radio 1isIrelands biggest radio stationreaching 1.3million listeners every week and were in the middle of an ambitious strategy to increase our audience share in the 35 to 54 age group.
Were seeking an experienced and dynamic Radio Producer with significant experience in current affairs to join us in informing entertaining and challenging our audiences on some of the most listened to programmes in the country on our weekday and weekend schedules.

This appointment will be made on a 2-year fixed term full time contract basis on the Radio Producer salary range from 54661 gross per annum to 85602 gross per annum.
We are also looking to create a panel which is intended to cover short and long-term vacancies that may arise over the next 12 months from the commencement of this panel.

- Drive and produce compelling and engaging content across all Radio 1 platforms with a specific focus on our target audience of 35- to 54-year-olds
- Set the agenda and breakstories in a competitive audio landscape
- Source new and diverse voices to contribute to our output
- Amplify our contentacross all platforms by liaising with our social and press teams
About you:
- A proventrack recordin producing live current affairs content
- Bring a motivated courageous and energetic dynamism to the programme team
- Instinctive knowledge of how to reach our target demographic
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Be able to manage change and push boundaries
- Ability to generate engaging and stimulating content daily
- Can think beyond linear and embrace cross platform opportunities
- Capacity to work collaboratively with Editors and programme team colleagues
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Be solutions focused and flexible
- Have a strong understanding of live audio production and the ability to be innovativeand creative in this area
- Awareness of legislative and regulatory requirements
