The Role
Champion and promote a positive food safety and quality culture across the site
Ensure compliance with BRC standards customer requirements and internal quality systems
Lead technical projects including hygiene validation allergen management and food safety initiatives
Manage supplier relationships non-conformances and corrective actions
Support customer regulatory and third-party audits ensuring audit readiness at all times
Investigate quality issues and implement effective root cause analysis and corrective actions
Deliver training sessions on HACCP allergen awareness and food safety procedures
Analyse quality data and utilise continuous improvement tools to drive operational excellence
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve standards and customer satisfaction
Assist in maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
The Person
HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications
Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of BRC standards and food industry regulations
Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Desirable:
Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8-Step Problem Solving
Experience supporting or leading third-party audits
Qualification or background in Food Science Food Technology or a related discipline
