Perform Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client a well-established and growing company specialising in fire protection solutions. With decades of experience in the industry the company provides a broad range of fire protection services and solutions to commercial and industrial clients.
Due to continued growth within their Sprinkler Division they are now looking to strengthen their project management team with an experienced Project Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction or engineering professional to take responsibility for a variety of fire protection projects while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of the Sprinkler Division youll take responsibility for the successful coordination and delivery of projects ensuring they are completed to the required technical commercial quality and safety standards.
Your day-to-day could include:
- Reviewing contract documents drawings and specifications to ensure projects comply with relevant system design standards
- Managing projects in accordance with applicable international fire protection standards including NFPA BS EN 12845 FM Global and LPC
- Attending client and project meetings and acting as a key point of contact throughout project delivery
- Managing technical submittals and coordinating project documentation
- Developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure works are delivered on time
- Monitoring project progress and coordinating activities across design production installation and other project teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with the companys quality management systems and procedures
- Estimating and monitoring project costs using the companys ERP system
- Preparing and providing regular financial and project reports
- Coordinating with the design team to ensure drawings are produced updated and circulated as required
- Working closely with the QEHS team to ensure quality environmental health and safety requirements are met
- Identifying additional works and managing variations throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring project risks costs programme and overall delivery
- Liaising with clients consultants contractors suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Youll have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging fire protection projects while developing your technical commercial and project management expertise.
What Were Looking For
- A degree in Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
- Minimum 3 years project management experience ideally within fire protection construction mechanical services or a related industry
- Strong understanding of project planning coordination and delivery
- Experience working with technical drawings specifications and contract documentation
- Knowledge of fire protection standards such as NFPA BS EN 12845 FM Global or LPC would be an advantage
- Strong commercial awareness with experience monitoring project costs and budgets
- Excellent planning organisational and time-management skills
- Strong computer literacy and confidence working with project management and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Full clean driving licence
