Overview

We are working in partnership with a well-established and ambitious Irish contractor that is building out a dedicated renewables delivery division and is currently in the market for a Project Director to join the business on a permanent basis.

This is a genuine first in leadership opportunity. Rather than inheriting someone elses playbook you will help shape how the division is run win the confidence of clients from the ground up and put your stamp on a growing pipeline of utility-scale solar and BESS projects.

Responsibilities

Off the back of continued success and a fast-moving renewables pipeline our client is seeking an experienced Project Director to take full commercial and delivery ownership of their solar and BESS schemes.

As Project Director you will be responsible for delivering utility-scale projects end to end carrying both the numbers and the risk not just the programme.

You will:

• Own full project delivery across solar and BESS schemes
• Hold commercial control costing budgets and full project P&L accountability
• Provide technical credibility across substation and grid connection works
• Lead clients supply chain and stakeholders from pre-construction through to handover
• Drive programme safety and quality on live utility-scale sites

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• A main contractor pedigree a track record of delivering not just consulting
• Proven costing and P&L ownership on renewables or T&D projects
• Solar and/or BESS delivery experience (substation knowledge a strong advantage)
• The technical understanding to challenge design and drive value
• Leadership that keeps clients coming back
