Were recruiting for an Evening Despatch Supervisor to join our team in Watergrasshill Cork. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to advance their career and lead a team. This is a full time permanent position reporting to the Logistics Manager

This is an evening shift position. Working hours are from Sunday to Thursday 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM. On Sundays the shift typically ends earlier around 8:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the despatch team to ensure safe efficient daily operations.
• Coordinate order picking loading and despatch activities to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor stock movement stock rotation and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure export documentation and despatch paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Operate and oversee PPT forklift and shunter driving for loading and unloading trailers.
• Liaise with production quality and other departments to maintain smooth workflow.
• Manage day-to-day operational issues and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the despatch area.
• Support staff performance attendance training and holiday planning.
• Provide CGI cover when needed.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

What do we need from you

• Basic computer skills are advantageous
• Good people management skills
• Target-oriented approach
• Commitment to confidentiality
• Previous experience in meat production (beef processing preferred)
• Responsible from pre op. to post op. handover
• Be flexible with working hours
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
