We are urgently seeking a Orthopaedics Nurse for a hospital in Westmeath Ireland.
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe evidence-based nursing care to orthopaedic patients
- Prepare and support patients before and after orthopaedic procedures
- Monitor patients clinical condition and respond appropriately to changes
- Assist consultants and theatre teams during orthopaedic procedures where required
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
- Ensure infection prevention and control standards are maintained
- Promote patient dignity safety and comfort at all times
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adhere to hospital policies NMBI guidelines and best practice standards
- Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Previous acute hospital or orthopaedic nursing experience desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
