Office Administrator (Finance-Focused) Part-Time 20 Hours Per Week Ashbourne Co. Meath

Were hiring on behalf of a long-established close-knit business based in Ashbourne Co. Meath with a strong quality culture and a team that genuinely values the people in it.

The hours: 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. Four hours a day five days a week every week. Consistent predictable and the same pattern week in week out.

The role: This position reports directly into the Finance Manager and sits at the intersection of finance support and office administration. Youll handle the day-to-day finance office tasks that keep the operation running invoices AP workflow finance queries as well as owning front-of-house and general office administration. Its a hands-on varied role and for the right person it will grow with the business.

What youll actually be doing:

Finance & accounts support (primary focus):
Uploading and scanning supplier invoices into the automated accounts payable workflow accurately completely and on time
Flagging exceptions and anomalies for the Finance Manager rather than letting them pile up
Directing routine finance queries to the right person efficiently
Supporting the Finance Manager with process-driven administrative tasks as the role develops
Operating the ERP system with increasing confidence over time

Front-of-house & office administration:
Answering and directing the main office phone and reception calls
Greeting visitors and managing front-door access
Day-to-day office administration filing document management and transition to digital storage
Post couriers office supplies and general coordination
Microsoft 365 across Outlook Word Excel and Teams

What we need:
Some accounts or finance administration experience even at junior or support level is a genuine advantage here
Comfort with numbers invoices and process-driven financial tasks
A reliable organised approach the Finance Manager needs to trust that what lands on their desk is accurate and complete
Confident warm and professional phone manner you are the first voice people hear
Discreet and professional with confidential financial and business information
Comfortable with Microsoft 365 and willing to learn new systems
Someone who takes ownership checks their own work and acts on feedback without needing to be re-briefed

What were not looking for: A fully qualified accountant or a long CV. A background in accounts administration bookkeeping support AP processing or general finance office work is the ideal fit not a senior finance professional. Attitude reliability and organisational skills still matter more than qualifications and the business would rather develop the right person than hire purely on experience.

The reality of the role: Youll be working closely with the Finance Manager in a busy office where accuracy discretion and showing up consistently are what success looks like. The hours are fixed the location is on-site in Ashbourne and the pattern is the same every week. If you have some accounts experience and want a settled structured part-time role in a good business where you can grow this is worth a conversation.
