Network Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance our global manufacturing network environment. This role will be responsible for designing implementing and supporting enterprise-scale network solutions across manufacturing sites ensuring secure reliable and high-performing connectivity that enables critical business operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in network switching strong knowledge of network security excellent communication skills and a positive collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across technical and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design implement and support large-scale enterprise LAN WLAN and network infrastructure solutions.
Provide technical leadership for manufacturing network projects refresh initiatives and site expansions.
Support day-to-day operational activities and troubleshoot complex network issues across manufacturing environments.
Drive improvements in network performance reliability availability and security.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to understand operational requirements and deliver effective network solutions.
Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security standards vulnerability management and network segmentation initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation network designs and implementation plans.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders and project teams.
Contribute to network automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Telecommunications or related field or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale network environments.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Cisco Switching and Routing
Cisco Wireless technologies
Enterprise Firewalls (Palo Alto or Check Point)
TCP/IP networking fundamentals
Network Security principles and best practices
Experience supporting manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Positive attitude collaborative approach and willingness to support business-critical manufacturing operations.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA CCNP or equivalent networking certifications.
Experience with Cisco ISE Cisco Catalyst Center F5 Splunk ServiceNow NetBrain LogicMonitor Ansible or Python.
Experience with Network Segmentation Access Control and Network AIOps.
Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare life sciences or manufacturing.
