Mixed Veterinary Surgeon (Small & Large Animal) Ireland

The Vet Office is currently recruiting Mixed Veterinary Surgeons to join a number of well-established veterinary practices across Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for veterinarians who enjoy both companion animal and farm animal practice and are looking to develop their careers in a supportive modern environment.

What we are looking for
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mixed veterinary practice (small and large animals).
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine recognised within the EU.
  • C1 Cambridge Certificate or IELTS (required for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland).
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Full driving licence is desirable.

Clinical work

Depending on the practice your caseload may include:

  • Companion animal consultations and surgery.
  • Dairy and beef herd health.
  • Reproductive management.
  • Calf medicine.
  • Preventive herd health programmes.
  • Emergency and out-of-hours duties (practice dependent).
  • Client advisory and farm visits.
