Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
Location: Nenagh Co. Tipperary
Hours: Monday Friday
Contract: Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our team in Nenagh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance function across our production facility ensuring that equipment machinery buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard and that production can operate safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in a busy production or manufacturing environment.
Manage and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance function across the facility.
Lead and support the maintenance team ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
Support the maintenance and development of production automation and control systems.
Manage external contractors and maintenance providers.
Oversee general facilities management including buildings utilities and site infrastructure.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability efficiency and production performance.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in line with health & safety and company procedures.
Maintain appropriate maintenance records and schedules.
Assist with maintenance planning budgeting and procurement of parts and equipment.
Respond effectively to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
Work closely with Production Quality and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager Maintenance Supervisor or similar senior maintenance role.
Experience working within a production manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong experience with production machinery and automation.
Experience managing external contractors and suppliers.
General facilities management experience.
Strong practical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive hands-on approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience would be highly advantageous.
Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:
Electrical maintenance
Welding / fabrication
Plumbing
Mechanical maintenance
Pneumatics / hydraulics
Automation and control systems
Refrigeration / utilities
General building and facilities maintenance
Monday Friday working hours
Full-time permanent position
