Job Summary
Our Client has a requirement for a 2nd Level IT Support Engineer to assist in support a growing business in Tipperary and this position you will have responsibility responsible for handling escalated technical issues troubleshooting complex problems and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with 1st level support engineers system administrators and network engineers to provide second-level support resolve incidents and implement improvements.

- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure issues related to servers networks storage and cloud environments.
- Provide technical support for Windows 0365 and End-user issues).
- Perform system monitoring health checks and proactive maintenance to ensure uptime and performance.
- Provide L2 support to customers stores and main site
- Work with security teams to apply patches updates and hardening measures to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Document incidents resolutions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knowledge sharing and training.
- Support disaster recovery planning backup strategies and failover testing.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for troubleshooting and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to L1 support engineers to enhance their technical skills.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure support or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in Windows MS 365 Endpoint Support and Troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V or KVM).
- Hands-on experience with networking technologies (firewalls VPNs VLANs TCP/IP troubleshooting).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical
- A full Irish driving licence is required for this position.
