We are currently seeking a ICU Education Facilitator for a hospital in Galway Ireland.
Post Details Permanent Part-time 24 hours per week
- Identify the clinical learning and development needs of ICU staff in collaboration with the Practice Development and ICU Management teams.
- Develop coordinate and deliver mandatory and continuing education programmes for Intensive Care staff.
- Design and update training materials to reflect current clinical standards evidence-based practice and best practice guidelines.
- Coordinate and facilitate in-house and external educational courses workshops and competency-based training.
- Manage and continuously enhance the orientation and induction programme for all newly appointed ICU staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice and support staff in implementing quality improvement initiatives clinical audits and nursing research.
- Lead or contribute to service improvement projects policy development and the implementation of clinical standards within the ICU.
- Maintain accurate education records competency assessments and audit documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support preceptors nursing students and undergraduate/postgraduate nursing programmes by providing education guidance and mentorship.
- Act as a clinical education resource for ICU staff and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing.
- Postgraduate qualification in ICU Nursing or a related critical care specialty.
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise with proven leadership and decision-making skills.
- Passion for education staff development and creating effective learning environments.
- Experience in delivering clinical teaching mentoring and supporting staff development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Experience in conducting clinical audits research and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
