Are you a skilled fitter with hands-on experience in the plant and tool hire industry This is a fantastic opportunity to join Irelands leading builders merchant group in a permanent full-time role based in Lucan Co. Dublin close to major road networks and offering an excellent work-life balance with a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Role Overview

As Hire Fitter you will be at the heart of a busy and well-established hire department taking ownership of the maintenance servicing and repair of a diverse fleet of plant and tool equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring customers receive equipment that is safe reliable and ready to perform on site while building real expertise across a broad range of machinery.

What Youll Be Doing

Youll be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of a wide range of equipment including:

Large Plant:

Mini Excavators Mini Dumpers Road Compressors Vibrating Rollers

Small Plant:

Cement Mixers Concrete Power Floats Plate Compactors Poker Vibrators

Electrical & Engine Tools:

Angle Grinders Circular Saws Hammer Drills Breakers Sanders

Honda 4-stroke petrol small diesel engines Makita/Husqvarna 2-stroke petrol

Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include:

Carrying out PAT testing and fleet readiness checks

Maintaining a clean safe and organised hire workshop

Supporting customer sales and delivering expert equipment demonstrations

Upholding health & safety standards across all activities

Assisting with the day-to-day running of the hire department

What Were Looking For

Solid experience in the plant and tool hire industry

Proven mechanical/fitter capabilities across a range of plant and tools

A proactive safety-conscious approach to your work

Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude
