Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care.

We are hiring a Healthcare Assistant for one of the leading Nursing Homes in Laois. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving residents quality of life and will place strong importance on social physical and mental wellbeing.


Responsibilities
  • Assess plan implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards

  • Provide holistic person-centred care to residents

  • Promote optimum independence and enhance residents quality of life

  • Deliver resident care within a best practice and evidence-based framework

  • Apply effective delegation principles while maintaining resident safety

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Health Information and Quality Authority Standards relevant to the care setting

  • Follow standards related to healthcare infection prevention and control and hygiene practices

  • Participate actively as part of a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary team

  • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and team meetings

  • Assess plan implement and evaluate individual person-centred care programmes in accordance with agreed frameworks and best practices





Requirements
  • Hold a minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in elderly care or a similar healthcare role is desirable
  • Knowledge of Residential Care Legislation and Health Information and Quality Authority Standards is advantageous
  • Professional caring and empathetic approach to resident care
  • Good command of spoken and written English

Required Skills:
