Occupli Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading national facilities services provider to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This is a newly created leadership role supporting a major strategic client offering the opportunity to influence safety culture across a complex high-profile operational environment.

This position is ideal for a proactive health and safety professional who enjoys building strong relationships driving continuous improvement and working closely with operational leaders to achieve excellence in safety performance.

The Opportunity

As Health & Safety Manager you will be the primary safety lead for a key client account partnering with operational management to ensure best practice legislative compliance and a positive safety culture across multiple workstreams. You will provide expert guidance lead audits and investigations deliver training and support the ongoing development of health safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a proactive and positive health and safety culture across the site.

  • Provide expert advice and practical support to management teams on all HSE matters.

  • Conduct site inspections audits and compliance reviews ensuring corrective actions are completed.

  • Lead incident investigations identify root causes and implement preventative measures.

  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training inductions and toolbox talks.

  • Review and support risk assessments method statements and safe systems of work.

  • Monitor compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and client-specific requirements.

  • Analyse safety performance identify trends and prepare meaningful reports for senior management.

  • Build strong working relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders.

  • Support environmental initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.

  • Mentor and develop members of the safety team while promoting accountability across operations.




Requirements

Were looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and leadership skills.

You will have:

  • A recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.

  • Several years experience in a Health & Safety role within facilities management engineering construction manufacturing or a similar operational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Experience carrying out audits incident investigations and risk assessments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • A proactive solutions-focused approach with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • A full clean driving licence.

  • Full authorisation to work in Ireland.

Desirable
  • Safe Pass

  • PSDP and/or PSCS qualification

  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification

  • Manual Handling Instructor certification

  • Train the Trainer qualification

  • Office Ergonomics / DSE Assessor certification

  • IOSH Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) or working towards chartership
