Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid 3 days per week in office)

Scope: UK Ireland and Spain

Direct Report: HR Generalist Dublin

Travel: Regular travel to the UK approx. every 6 weeks with occasional travel to Spain as required

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function across our business in Ireland the UK and Spain.

Reporting directly to the CFO and supported by an HR Generalist this is a senior hands-on role covering the full employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and senior leaders providing practical HR advice and ensuring our people practices support a high-performing compliant and evolving organisation.

This is an operational HR leadership role rather than a Talent Acquisition-led position and will suit an experienced HR generalist who enjoys working close to the business and taking ownership from issue identification through to delivery.

Tasks

What Youll Be Doing

Lead the day-to-day HR function across Ireland the UK and Spain.

Provide practical commercially focused HR advice to managers and senior leaders.

Manage complex employee relations matters including performance absence disciplinary grievance capability and restructuring.

Coach managers on effective people management performance and employee issues.

Own HR policies employment documentation processes and systems across the employee lifecycle.

Drive performance management employee development and targeted Learning & Development initiatives.

Lead workforce planning and resourcing considering the appropriate mix of permanent contract outsourced and offshore resources.

Oversee recruitment activity and work with external recruitment partners where appropriate.

Support organisational change restructuring and role realignment.

Maintain strong HR governance and compliance and ensure the function remains audit and due diligence ready.

Work closely with Finance on headcount planning compensation benefits and workforce costs.

Use workforce data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvement automation and AI.

Lead and develop the HR Generalist.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role

Strong experience as an operational HR generalist at HR Manager Senior HRBP or equivalent level.

Proven experience managing the full employee lifecycle rather than specialising primarily in recruitment or Talent Acquisition.

Strong hands-on employee relations and performance management experience.

Good working knowledge of Irish employment law; UK employment law experience is highly advantageous.

Experience supporting organisational change restructuring and manager capability.

Good workforce planning and resourcing experience including permanent contract and outsourced models.

Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance employee business and cost considerations.

Confidence working directly with senior leadership and taking ownership of complex issues.

Comfortable operating in a fast-paced evolving business with a lean HR team.

Desirable

Multi-jurisdiction or international HR experience.

SME scaling or high-growth business experience.

Exposure to HR due diligence investment or transactional activity.

Experience using HR technology automation or AI to improve processes.

CIPD Level 5 or equivalent; Level 7 advantageous.
