Job Summary

Graduate Quantity Surveyor-

Perform Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client a well-established and growing company operating within the fire protection and construction sector in Ireland. As the business continues to work on a diverse range of projects they are now looking to add a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate looking to build their career in a supportive and collaborative environment while gaining hands-on experience across estimating cost control project budgets contract variations and commercial management.


The Role

Reporting to the Estimation Manager youll support the commercial and estimating functions across a variety of projects helping to ensure projects are accurately costed monitored and commercially managed from tender stage through to completion.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for new projects
  • Assisting with the preparation and management of project budgets forecasts and cash flow projections
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preparing regular cost reports forecasts and cash flow summaries for management
  • Maintaining accurate and organised project documentation including cost records valuations and contractual correspondence
  • Managing and documenting contract variations ensuring all cost implications are accurately captured
  • Assisting with the identification and assessment of potential commercial risks
  • Reviewing project costs and supporting effective cost-control measures
  • Liaising with clients architects engineers project managers subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters
  • Supporting the estimation team with tenders pricing and project-related commercial information
  • Ensuring relevant commercial documentation is accurate up to date and properly maintained

As you develop within the role youll have the opportunity to gain broader exposure to the commercial side of construction and fire protection projects building your knowledge and experience across estimating cost management contracts and project delivery.


What Were Looking For

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying is essential
  • Graduate or recently qualified Quantity Surveyor looking to develop a career in the construction/commercial sector
  • Some experience or exposure to the construction or fire protection industry would be an advantage
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent planning organisational and time-management abilities
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence working with spreadsheets and project documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good problem-solving and commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients contractors subcontractors engineers and internal teams
  • Full clean driving licence
