General Operative - VC Galway

BWG Foods are currently recruiting for the position of General Operative on a Permanent and Temporary Full-Time basis in Value Centre Galway.

Duties of a General Operative include:

• Stock replenishment & merchandising point of sale.

• Loading/unloading pallets in an industrial racking system.

• Order assembly.

• Stock taking.

• Dealing with customer queries in a professional manner.

• Co-operation and participation in all health & safety and security requirements.

• House-keeping duties.

• Other associated duties as requested by your manager.

The suitable General Operative should:

• Have Reach forklift experience and an up-to-date operators certificate.

• Be customer focused motivated and enthusiastic.

• Be reliable and flexible.

• Have a can-do attitude.

• Have a strong attention to detail.

• Work well in a team environment and be able to work on your own initiative.

• Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.

• Have good written and spoken English.

• Must be able to work in ambient chill and freezer areas of the warehouse.

• This role involves manual handling e.g. lifting putting down pushing pulling carrying or moving of products and loads.
