Our client a well-established family-run business based in Kerry is currently seeking a Garden Centre Manager to lead their newly expanded and modernised garden centre.
The Role
As Garden Centre Manager you will be responsible for leading motivating and supporting a small team to ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered. Key responsibilities will include overseeing sales performance and stock control contributing to marketing initiatives and ensuring all health & safety standards are maintained throughout the centre.
You will play a key role in the continued development of the garden centre by introducing fresh and innovative ideas while staying informed on the latest gardening and horticultural trends. The role also involves coordinating promotional activities building strong relationships with key customers and suppliers and using your visual merchandising expertise to create attractive high-impact displays that maintain a professional and visually appealing retail environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have
Strong horticultural knowledge and experience
A minimum Level 6 qualification in horticulture
At least 4 years experience in retail horticulture
Excellent communication organisational numerical and IT skills are essential
The ability to effectively manage a team and deliver outstanding customer service.
Experience in merchandising & visual displays would be an important requirement for the role
Whats on Offer
This is a full-time position within a busy customer-focused environment. As the garden centre operates 7 days a week during peak seasons weekend work will be required. Salary will be competitive and negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. The Salary range will be available on application.
