Freight Forwarder -Sea
Blanchardstown- Dublin
Mon-Fri 09.00-17.30 37.5 hours

As a Freight Forwarder Sea Freight you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while providing end-to-end visibility and control of sea freight shipments. You will work closely with customers overseas offices shipping lines transport providers customs teams and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
This role is ideal for a customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships solving problems and working in a dynamic logistics environment where no two days are the same.

What will you be doing

Managing sea freight shipments from order creation through to final delivery.
Providing customers with proactive updates and full visibility of their shipments.
Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally through verbal and written communication.
Monitoring shipment progress and identifying potential disruptions before they impact customers.
Coordinating with shipping lines overseas offices customs authorities and transportation providers to ensure smooth cargo movement.
Managing exceptions and resolving operational issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
Ensuring accurate system data entry and maintenance of shipment records.
Opening and maintaining shipment files in accordance with company procedures and service standards.
Coordinating customs brokerage requirements and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Managing and maintaining In-Transit Reports and shipment tracking information.
Supporting accurate and timely invoicing and cost control processes.
Working to established service levels KPIs SOPs and compliance requirements.
Collaborating with internal departments to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence within the team.

About you

Essential

Previous experience in a customer service administration or logistics environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel Word and Outlook.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

Experience in Sea Freight Imports and/or Exports.
Previous experience within freight forwarding logistics or supply chain operations.
Knowledge of customs processes and international transportation.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
