About Our Client
Perform Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client a food manufacturer based in Co. Waterford producing convenience foods and retail products to the highest quality and food safety standards.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager youll join the Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) team supporting production by testing and measuring product quality at regular intervals throughout the day. Youll help ensure every product meets production food safety hygiene and customer specifications across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Work to an hourly schedule completing quality and due diligence checks ensuring product meets customer and legal specifications
- Carry out pre-start checks in production areas daily
- Record and report product quality information to the quality team lead and production shift manager
- Collect meat and environmental samples for microbial testing
- Assist with projects set by the QC Team Leader Quality Supervisor and/or FSQ Managers
- Make QC decisions based on data collection and analysis
- Support production staff on product safety quality and traceability control procedures
- Take part in customer and third-party audits
- Help embed a culture of being always audit ready within the production area
What Were Looking For
- Good understanding of English and strong communication skills
- A team player with good problem-solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Flexible and able to support other QC team members
- Able to work a three-shift pattern (days evenings mid-shift) and available for scheduled Saturdays
- Own transport preferred
