Job offers a great mix of both financial andcommercial accounting experience while having significant exposure to senior leadership level. Excellent stepping stone for a newly qualified accountantwho is entering Industry for the first time or anyone wants to join afast-paced technology business.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Team lead youwill assist in management and closure of the month end reporting process andthe production of the Monthly Profit Statement (MPS) and quarterly financialreporting packs. Provide financialsupport reporting and forecasting to the People Legal andFinance business areas.

What else it involves:

Monthly & QuarterlyReporting:

  • Responsible for completion and management of monthly reporting timetable.
  • Co-ordinate completion review and submission of Monthly Performance Statement (MPS) and supporting financial analysis schedules including cashflow reforecast. Ensure these are submitted to group timelines and required standard.
  • FX posting and reporting
  • Provide support to Financial Reporting Team Lead in completion of quarterly Consolidated Accounting Statement (CAS) reporting. Including ability to act as cover for CAS completion.
  • Handset receivable reporting.
    Act as contact point for head office

Business Partnering andreporting:

  • Provide financial business partnering support to People Legal Finance areas.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly accounts for People Legal and Finance directorates.
  • Responsible for monthly performance reporting to People Legal and Finance areas. Providing input and analysis to ensure the functions operate within budget and forecast. Present same to leadership of each area.
  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting for People Legal and other General and Admin areas.
  • Assist in the calculation reporting and budgeting of bad debts expenses and provision across the business. Assist business in the management of bad debt costs through effective reporting and finanical analysi

Other

  • The preparation and submission of various monthly quarterly and annual returns to government and statistical bodies.
  • Management of the monthly balance sheet reconciliation tracking and reporting process. Ensure reporting completed on time and to required standard.
  • Assisting in the on-going development and refinement of processes and implementation of financial reporting policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the chart of accounts.
  • Maintenance of system mapping files for Hyperion MPS FSG Stats
  • Management of the oracle user access process.
  • Onsite contact for financial reporting tools - Hyperion Smartview and Splash BI (Training will be provided).

MustHave:

  • Newly qualified accountant.
  • Proven technical accounting skills particularly IFRS
  • Proven commercial awareness
  • First class analytical and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Self motivated and driven

Niceto Have:

  • Big 4 training
  • Experience of group reporting
  • Experience of working in/with a mobile telecommunications network operator
  • MS Office Excel skills to produce extended reporting.
  • Experience of Oracle Financial Systems
