Finance Manager
Job Summary
ID Recruitment are working with an award-winning Mechanical Engineering company located in Mayo to recruit a Finance Manager.
The person in this role will have strong leadership and commercial awareness and will be responsible to taking control and leading the day-to-day finance function of the business and provide accurate and timely financial information to the Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day finance function and oversee members of the accounts team.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for Directors.
- Monitor cash flow budgets expenditure and financial performance.
- Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable supplier payments and credit control.
- Oversee weekly payroll and VAT PAYE/PRSI and other Revenue requirements.
- Ensure bank and balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants auditors and advisers.
- Support project cost tracking committed costs and other commercial reporting.
- Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems.
- Provide financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support management decision-making.
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager Management Accountant Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong practical experience across management accounts AP AR payroll cash flow and financial reporting.
- Experience managing or supervising an accounts team.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident working independently and communicating with Directors and senior management.
- Experience in construction engineering manufacturing or a project-based environment would be advantageous.
- Accounting/finance qualification or significant relevant experience. Qualified part-qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates will be considered.
