Farm Electrician Ireland

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Farm Electrician to join our clients in Ireland.

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance and operation of modern commercial pig and poultry farms. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems troubleshooting equipment and ensuring farm facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install maintain and repair electrical systems on commercial pig and poultry farms.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on farm equipment and buildings.

• Install maintain and troubleshoot Big Dutchman feeding ventilation and automation systems.

• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

• Perform electrical wiring panel installations and equipment commissioning.

• Carry out basic welding and plumbing repairs as required.

• Maintain ventilation feeding heating and water supply systems.

• Follow all health safety and biosecurity procedures.

• Keep maintenance records and report completed work.

Requirements

510 years of active continuous and current experience as a Farm Electrician or Maintenance Technician on a modern commercial pig or poultry farm.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Big Dutchman systems including installation maintenance and troubleshooting.

Experience working with:

• Electrical installations

• Motor control systems

• Ventilation systems

• Feeding systems

• Water systems

• Farm automation equipment

Practical experience in welding and plumbing.

Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good understanding of farm health safety and biosecurity.

Good English communication skills.
