The Vet Office is recruiting an Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern recently refurbished practice in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly experienced multi-vet team with interests in internal medicine and dermatology offering a supportive environment where clinical development is encouraged.

The practice provides excellent facilities varied caseloads and a healthy work-life balance with a 4-day working week.

The Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon you will:

  • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to small animal patients.
  • Diagnose investigate and manage a wide variety of medical and surgical cases.
  • Take full responsibility for patient care ensuring excellent case continuity.
  • Perform routine surgeries and consultations with confidence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications appropriately while supporting stock management.
  • Communicate clearly with clients discussing treatment options and providing estimates.
  • Promote preventative healthcare and pet wellness plans.
  • Work closely with an experienced veterinary and nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Support and contribute to the continuous learning and development of colleagues.
  • Ensure accurate billing and uphold the highest clinical standards.
About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • MVB DVM or an equivalent Veterinary Degree.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
  • At least 1 year of experience in small animal practice.
  • Confidence in consultations routine surgery and medical case management.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to continue developing clinically.
  • The ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
