Job Summary

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this post is to ensure the hospitals electrical infrastructure is compliant with all applicable legislation standards & statutory obligations both from a design and maintenance perspective.

To prepare electrical service designs and manage the electrical infrastructure across the hospital campus.

Play a leading Engineering role in the development of the Hospitals Facilities & Engineering Infrastructure through the implementation of appropriate actions to achieve corporate and service delivery objectives.

Essential Criteria

  • Third Level Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 4-7 years postgraduate experience in an electrical engineering role
  • Excellent professional/ technical knowledge and skills
  • Authorised Person (AP) qualified in two relevant areas and a commitment to undertake responsibility for these areas when required. Candidates who are not presently AP qualified are required to obtain this qualification within six months from starting in post.
