Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to support the implementation and continuous improvement of health safety and wellbeing standards across engineering and project environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and supporting operational teams in achieving the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Investigate incidents near misses and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety inductions toolbox talks and awareness training.
  • Support project teams in developing safe systems of work and method statements.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  • Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across all activities.


Requirements

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Diploma Degree or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Health & Safety role within engineering construction manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Full driving licence.
