About the Role Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership: Lead and manage the Urban Transport (Active Travel Urban Roads and Bus Connects) activity in Ireland ensuring development of the activity and sustainable profitability.

Project Sponsorship: Supervise and oversee the execution of urban transport projects in Ireland ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and in compliance with contract.

Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team providing guidance mentoring and support to ensure project success.

Technical Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of standards regulations and industry best practices and apply this knowledge to project planning and delivery.

Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their needs and requirements to provide tailored consultancy services.

Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables and implement quality control processes to meet client expectations.

Financial Management: Manage project budgets financial forecasts and resource allocation to optimize project profitability.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders including government agencies industry partners and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals and compliance.

Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to the UK & Ireland Roads and Active Travel Director and clients demonstrating progress and achievements.

Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth develop winning strategies and actively participate in the proposal and bid process to secure new urban transport projects.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering Transportation Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent recognised professional body.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering roads or transport infrastructure.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects.
• Strong business development skills with a history of winning and developing design and engineering work.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen and experience in project budget management.
