Job Summary
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and care services within the facility.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality person-centred care in accordance with HIQA standards NMBI guidelines and relevant legislation.
- Lead manage and support nursing and care teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice and resident outcomes.
- Oversee the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of resident care programmes.
- Ensure effective recruitment retention supervision and performance management of staff.
- Manage staffing levels skill mix and resource allocation to maintain safe and effective care delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through audits risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement policies procedures and clinical governance frameworks to support best practice.
- Maintain effective communication with residents families multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently while ensuring high standards of care and service provision.
- Lead training education and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competence and career progression.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety infection prevention and control safeguarding and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of three years experience caring for older persons within the last six years.
- At least three years proven experience in a nursing management or leadership role.
- Post-registration qualification in Healthcare Management at Level 9 or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards relevant legislation and regulatory requirements governing residential care services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate develop and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication interpersonal organisational and decision-making abilities.

Required Skills:
