Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are Hiring an Director of Nursing to a leading Nursing home in Clare Ireland.

Permanent/full time

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and care services within the facility.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality person-centred care in accordance with HIQA standards NMBI guidelines and relevant legislation.
  • Lead manage and support nursing and care teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice and resident outcomes.
  • Oversee the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of resident care programmes.
  • Ensure effective recruitment retention supervision and performance management of staff.
  • Manage staffing levels skill mix and resource allocation to maintain safe and effective care delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement through audits risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies procedures and clinical governance frameworks to support best practice.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents families multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently while ensuring high standards of care and service provision.
  • Lead training education and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competence and career progression.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety infection prevention and control safeguarding and emergency preparedness requirements.


Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Minimum of three years experience caring for older persons within the last six years.
  • At least three years proven experience in a nursing management or leadership role.
  • Post-registration qualification in Healthcare Management at Level 9 or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards relevant legislation and regulatory requirements governing residential care services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate develop and support multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal organisational and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred care and enhancing residents quality of life.

Required Skills:
