Job Summary

Deli Assistant

Location: Mooncoin Co. Kilkenny Ireland

A Deli Assistant is responsible for preparing serving and handling fresh food products while maintaining high standards of hygiene food safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches salads hot food and cooked meats
  • Assist customers with orders and provide product recommendations
  • Ensure food displays are fresh well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Follow strict food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP standards)
  • Operate deli equipment such as slicers ovens and hot food counters safely
  • Maintain stock rotation and check product freshness and expiry dates
  • Keep the deli counter kitchen and work areas clean and organised
  • Handle customer payments and operate the checkout when required
  • Support daily stock control deliveries and waste management
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a deli or food service environment preferred
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Flexible availability including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays



Required Skills:

Proven experience in FMCG sales Strong network with distributors supermarkets or pharmacies Ability to close deals not just negotiate Must be target-driven and field-active Experience managing sales teams and distributors Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales and distribution strategies to drive growth Onboard distributors across Lagos and beyond Get Fekomi products into supermarkets & pharmacy chains Drive bulk orders and repeat sales Build strong relationships with store owners and buyers Monitor sales performance and ensure targets are met.


Required Education:

Minimum of HND/. in Human Resources Business Administration Industrial Relations or a related least 2 years of relevant HR knowledge of HR practices labour laws and employee communication interpersonal and organizational in Microsoft Office to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
