Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals nursing homes home care and community care.

We are urgently seeking a CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) Technician for a hospital in Westmeath Ireland.

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning decontamination inspection packaging and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical devices
  • Operate and monitor autoclaves washer disinfectors and other CSSD equipment
  • Assemble surgical trays and procedure packs according to hospital standards
  • Maintain accurate sterilisation records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention health & safety and hospital policies
  • Identify and report damaged or malfunctioning instruments and equipment
  • Manage stock rotation and inventory of sterile supplies
  • Support theatre and clinical departments with timely supply of sterile instruments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the CSSD department
  • Participate in quality improvement and continuous training initiatives


Requirements
  • Previous experience in CSSD or sterile services environment desirable
  • Relevant Sterile Services/CSSD qualification preferred
  • Knowledge of decontamination and sterilisation standards
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
