Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Oncology Day Unit
Job Summary
We are Hiring Clinical Nurse Manager 1 - Oncology Day Unit for a leading hospital in Dublin Ireland. 37.5 hours per week( Fixed Term/Full-Time)
- Oversee and participate in direct patient care including chemotherapy administration infusion therapy and symptom management.
- Provide patient education and support throughout treatment and recovery.
- Manage the daily operations of the Oncology Day Unit and ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise and allocate nursing staff to maintain safe staffing levels and effective skill mix.
- Support staff recruitment induction training and professional development.
- Coordinate patient appointments assessments and treatment schedules efficiently.
- Provide telephone triage and clinical advice escalating concerns when required.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies infection control standards medication safety and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with oncologists pharmacists allied health professionals and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) registration and 35 years of post-registration nursing experience preferably in oncology.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience with evidence of ongoing professional development in oncology nursing or healthcare management.
- Strong leadership communication interpersonal and decision-making skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Good organizational documentation audit and reporting skills with a strong commitment to patient safety quality care and clinical standards.
- Ability to achieve key performance targets including safe chemotherapy administration staff development and retention patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:
