Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Chief 1 Respiratory Physiologists for a Hospital in Limerick Ireland.

Full-time(35 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe efficient and patient-centred Respiratory and Sleep services.

  • Lead manage and motivate the Respiratory and Sleep team ensuring effective staffing delegation supervision performance management and professional development.

  • Oversee the delivery of respiratory and sleep diagnostic tests including CPAP management ensuring procedures are performed safely and in accordance with departmental protocols.

  • Develop implement and monitor clinical protocols care pathways and standards of practice ensuring compliance with current clinical guidelines and accreditation requirements.

  • Ensure appropriate equipment management including selection maintenance calibration quality control and reporting of faults or malfunctions.

  • Monitor service quality through clinical audits patient outcomes peer reviews and quality improvement initiatives contributing to evidence-based service development.

  • Manage the administration and organisation of the department including patient scheduling clinical reports stock control resource allocation and efficient use of departmental resources.

  • Support staff orientation teaching supervision and training including the development of basic-grade physiologists and student physiologists and identify ongoing training needs.

  • Monitor financial and operational performance prepare resource estimates control expenditure within budget and identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvement.

  • Work collaboratively with consultants clinicians multidisciplinary teams and hospital management ensuring patient safety effective communication compliance with Health & Safety requirements and continuous improvement of Respiratory services.


Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in a relevant healthcare setting.

  • Relevant management experience and/or management qualification is desirable.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal leadership communication and accountability skills.

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) appropriate to the role.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the core values of Care Compassion and Commitment.

  • Ability to provide effective leadership and support while maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.

  • Willingness to work flexibly across a 5-day roster adapting working patterns to meet service requirements.

Required Skills:
