Job Summary
Clarity is recruiting a Care Home Pharmacy Technician for a pharmacy in Dun Laoghaire.
What you need to know:This is a permanent full-time rolestrictly dispensary based. You will be required to work 40 hours per week with flexible shifts available (either 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm). Weekend work may be required one in five weekends and one late evening shift per week (12pm-9pm) will also be necessary. You will be working alongside an excellent support team. MPS is the dispensing system used.
What youll be doing:
- Provide a safe and efficient dispensing service for care home and outpatient prescriptions
- Prepare check and manage blister packs (monitored dosage systems) accurately and in line with pharmacy protocols
- Liaise directly with doctors nurses and care home staff regarding prescriptions medication queries and stock requirements
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of medicines to nursing homes and outpatients
- Maintain appropriate stock levels ensuring correct storage rotation and monitoring of dated products
- Process and log prescriptions accurately ensuring full compliance with pharmacy regulations and care home guidelines
- Support with medication reconciliation and resolving discrepancies with prescribers and nursing staff
- Any other duties as required

What we require:
- Fully qualified Pharmacy Technician (recognised qualification/registration required)
- Previous experience working with nursing/care homes
- Proven experience handling blister packs and prescription dispensing
- Experience liaising directly with doctors and nurses
