This rolehas the opportunity to be a great stepping stone in your retail career with many of our Assistant Store Managers going on to be Store now have a fantastic opportunityfor anAssistant Store Managerto join theKenmare team on a 32 hour 6 month temporary note this role is required to start from 1st August 2026 and is expected to finish on 1st February us by:Assisting the Store Manager in creating a service culture within the store team that puts the customer at the heart of everything they doEnabling the store team on how to recommend additionalservices to drive sales such as omni-channel selling gathering customer data and recommending add-on purchasesSupporting the Store Manager with recruitment working together to build a diverse and passionate teamBeinga great rolemodel driving store sales profitability and consistent KPI achievement understanding what isrequiredto drive performanceCoaching and developing the store team through regular 121s supporting with development plans when appropriateCommunicating store performances to your team and key stakeholders around the business providing regular feedback highlighting any risks and opportunities to sales for the businessImplementing store visual merchandising windows standards and guidelines and utilising all product categories and bestseller information to maximise commercial opportunities within the storeUtilising all product information to maximise sales opportunitiesManaging store operations such as management of stock loss prevention escalation and incident reporting health and safety GDPR cash handling key holderresponsibilitiesand store safety standards amongst othersBeing a key-holder for the store and having sole responsibility for running the store whenrequiredThe skillsyoullbe sharing with the team:Leading the way with your exceptional retail skills productknowledgeand commercialknow-howyoullbe passionate about inspiring your team to exceed sales and maximise profitability. You will havepreviousexperience in leading a team at supervisor level or above preferably in a retail or equivalent environment where you drove key KPI achievement and managed responsibility of leading the store to support the Store Managerwontphase you as you will be passionate about the successful running ofthestore. Coaching and developing your team will bereally importantto you and is key to this roleyoullbe an excellent communicator who can build a culture of trust.
