We are currently recruiting a Assistant Director of Nursing (Mental Health) on behalf of a reputable client based in Dublin. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality person-centred mental health nursing care in line with professional ethical and organisational standards.

Working Hours: 78 hours per fortnight
- Support the Director of Nursing in achieving the organisations operational and strategic objectives while ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred care.
- Assist in the day-to-day management and operational oversight of nursing services and clinical care delivery.
- Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing teams ensuring safe effective and evidence-based practice.
- Oversee the monitoring evaluation and continuous improvement of clinical care and nursing practice within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Promote a culture of quality improvement patient safety accountability and clinical excellence across services.
- Support service development initiatives and contribute to organisational change management and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation professional standards national healthcare policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams senior leadership and external stakeholders to support integrated service delivery.
- Demonstrate strong leadership governance and management capabilities within mental health or related healthcare services.
- Uphold the organisations values by delivering compassionate care that respects the dignity autonomy rights and wellbeing of residents and service users
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of 7 years post-registration nursing experience including substantial experience within adult mental health services.
- Significant senior clinical and management experience in mental health services including at least 5 years at Clinical Nurse Manager level or equivalent.
- Proven experience in clinical leadership governance risk management and service improvement initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Mental Health Commission standards healthcare legislation and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience in staff supervision workforce planning resource allocation and operational service delivery.
- Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) and commitment to lifelong learning.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory obligations within healthcare settings.
- Excellent leadership communication interpersonal organisational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety quality care ethical practice multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous quality improvement.
