Purpose
Contributesto the overall success of theCorporate BankingDepartmentin Irelandensuringspecific individual goals plans initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies and all activities conductedare in compliance withgoverning regulations internalpoliciesand procedures.
Responsible forexecuting ona broad range of transactions. Responsible for preparing client presentations and financial modeling.Work closely with the Associates/Associate Directorsto support the Directors/MDs in managing client relationships in thePowerUtilitiesand Infrastructure(PUI)industry sector.Contribute to the overall success of the team ensuring specific individual goals plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Champion a client centric focused culture to deepen client relationships andleveragebroader Bankrelationships systems and knowledge to deliver solutions that Scotiabank can provide across its footprintand generate revenue.
Relationship management and cross collaborationincludes:
- Coordinating with the various product groups and industry team within GBM with focus on European clients
- Developing andmaintainingeffective industry relationships with legal counsel external parties clients
Day-to-day responsibilities include the following:
- Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients
- Creating marketing materials and presentations
- Supporting transaction structuring and execution efforts with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
- Identifyingand developing business opportunities with clients
- Performing comprehensive financial statement analysis and creating andmaintainingmodels
- Collectingconsolidating and interpreting company and industry data
- Financial and written analysis of companies and industries
- Applying product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectives
- Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas while ensuring the adequacy adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk regulatory compliance risk AML/ATF risk and conduct risk including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.

Education / Experience
- A recent graduate with a passion for Banking and Finance
- A demonstrated interest and knowledge in the financial markets
- A proven record of outstanding achievement in academic and extracurricular activities
- An independent thinker and decision maker whois able tocontribute effectively to the teams success
- Superior interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to meet the challenges presented by a stressful constantly changing work environment
- 2ndlanguage in intermediate/ business level French
